Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AutoRepairEstimate.ai is operated by AutoEstimatePro LLC ("AutoEstimatePro," "we," "us," or "our"), a company based in Texas, United States. This Privacy Policy applies to our marketing website, the photo-estimate intake experience we provide, and related products and services (collectively, the "Services"). For the purposes of applicable data-protection laws, AutoEstimatePro is the controller of personal information collected through our own marketing, sales, and independent directory-outreach activities. For a request submitted on a directory page, AutoEstimatePro receives and manages the request, and our team reaches out to the selected shop on your behalf; the shop does not become affiliated with us or endorse our report because it is listed. If a shop receives your authorized details, it is responsible for its own subsequent handling of them. For separately contracted shop-operated tools, data-protection responsibilities depend on the actual service and agreement.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us

• Contact and lead details — your name, email address, phone number, business/shop name, website URL, and any message or notes you submit through our forms.
• Photo-estimate submissions — vehicle photographs, vehicle make/model/year, VIN, license-plate or damage descriptions, drivability, and insurance/claim details (such as carrier or deductible) that you choose to provide.
• Communications — records of your correspondence with us by email, phone, SMS/text, web chat, or web form.
• Billing information — for paying customers, billing contact details and limited payment metadata. Card payments are handled by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Information we collect automatically

• Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, and timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies — used to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand traffic. See "Cookies and tracking" below.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from analytics, advertising, hosting, and communications providers, and from Shops that use our tools. We may also use a proprietary correlation database to generate preliminary repair estimates from submitted photos.

Business directory information

AutoRepairEstimate.ai publishes a directory of auto body and collision repair businesses in the United States. Listings are compiled from publicly available sources — principally business information published on Google Maps and Google Business Profiles, obtained through third-party search-data providers, together with information published on a business's own website. We do not require a business to register, and a business does not need to take any action to appear.

Directory records may include:

• business name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and geographic coordinates;
• publicly listed business phone number, website address, and business hours;
• service categories, payment types, languages, and business descriptions;
• star ratings, review counts, and short review excerpts attributed to their original source; and
• photographs published on the business's public profile, displayed with attribution to their source.

Some of this information may relate to an identifiable individual — for example, where a business is a sole proprietorship operating under an owner's name, or where a publicly listed contact address belongs to an individual. Where that is the case, we treat it as personal information under applicable law and it is covered by this Policy. Our basis for processing it is our legitimate interest in operating a business directory that helps consumers find and compare local repair shops.

We do not publish business contact email addresses in the directory. Where we hold a contact email address for a business, it is used only for our own outreach to that business and is not displayed on our public pages.

Correcting or removing a business listing

If you own or are authorized to represent a listed business, you may ask us to correct any information in your listing or to remove the listing entirely, at no cost and without needing an account. Every listing page carries a "Request a correction or removal" link, or you can email support@autorepairestimate.ai with the listing URL and what you would like changed. We aim to acknowledge these requests within five business days and to action verified requests promptly. Removal applies to our directory only; it does not affect information published by Google or any other third party, which you would need to address with that provider directly.

3. How we use information

• To provide the service requested, generate preliminary reports, and handle staff outreach to the selected shop with your authorization. We do not send a request to other shops without separate permission.
• To record the version of Terms accepted, the acceptance time, selected-shop outreach authorization, and staff follow-up status. Built-in outreach forms do not authorize promotional texting.
• To respond to inquiries, schedule demos, and provide customer support.
• To send transactional messages, and—where permitted—marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.
• To process payments and manage accounts for paying customers.
• To monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
• To analyze usage and measure the performance of our marketing and product.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, property, and safety of AutoEstimatePro, our users, and the public.

4. SMS / text messaging

Providing a phone number alone does not authorize promotional or automated marketing texts. Requesting shop outreach does not authorize promotional or automated marketing texts. Any feature offering automated texts must disclose the sender, purpose, and applicable terms and obtain the permission required for that messaging separately.

Where you separately opt in to a messaging feature, you may receive text messages for its disclosed purpose, such as estimate links and follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used and to measure performance. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device and usage data as described above; you can read about Google's handling of that data in Google's privacy documentation. We do not currently run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.

Optional Google Analytics is off by default for all visitors. Its script loads only if you choose “Allow analytics.” Google advertising storage, user-data, and personalization permissions remain denied. We honor a detected Global Privacy Control signal by leaving optional website analytics off. Your choice is stored locally in your browser. Use Privacy choices to refuse or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future optional Google Analytics collection and clears accessible first-party analytics cookies; it does not erase information already received by a provider.

You can control or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics in any browser using Google's opt-out add-on. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

• With the shop you select — when you submit a request through AutoEstimatePro for a selected shop, our team reaches out to that shop on your behalf and shares the details you authorize so it can consider your request. You do not need to contact the shop yourself or submit another form. Submission is not proof of automatic delivery, acceptance, endorsement, or a guaranteed response. We ask separately before sharing with another shop.
• With service providers — Replit provides site hosting, database infrastructure, and operational logging. Google provides optional Analytics and map functionality. Stripe processes website membership payments; Apple processes purchases made through its app purchase system. AutoEstimatePro's separately hosted tool and its authentication, payment, and report-processing providers handle data entered in that tool. Provider access is limited to the applicable service, legal obligations, and contractual terms.
• For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, and to protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
• With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.

Separately hosted tools. Report tools load automatically as their section comes into view, after the page has had time to load. This connects your browser to autoestimatepro.com and its providers without an additional open button. They may use their own cookies and collect uploads, account, payment, and device data. The website's Google Analytics choice does not control processing inside those tools; review their notices before submitting information.

Google Maps. Maps load automatically when their map section loads, which may occur as you scroll it into view. This connects your browser to Google, which receives information such as your IP address and browser/device details and may use its own cookies or similar technologies. The website's optional Analytics setting does not control these map connections. See Google's Privacy Policy for information about Google's processing.

Hosting analytics. If enabled in our publishing configuration, Replit can provide Umami pageview and device/usage analytics independently of Google Analytics. Website code sends custom Umami events only with analytics permission; the Google Analytics choice does not control platform-injected pageviews. Hosting access and security logs may also be processed to operate and protect the service. We do not send customer names, contact details, VINs, or free-form submissions in our custom analytics events.

7. Data retention

Earlier requests received through the website's built-in forms are retained while staff handles your inquiry. Requests older than 90 days are flagged for staff retention review and should be deleted when no longer needed. This is a staff-managed review, not a promise of automatic deletion on day 90. Staff can delete requests from the active database, and you can request deletion using the contact below. We may retain information needed for a legal obligation, dispute, fraud prevention, or billing. Payment and acceptance records are retained for accounting, legal, and dispute purposes. Hosting logs and backups expire under the provider's retention settings and are not necessarily removed immediately when an active record is deleted. External-tool uploads and purchase records may have separate retention rules; identify the tool used when requesting deletion.

The built-in outreach endpoint does not include your name, phone, email, VIN, or message in submission logs. We do not authorize using identifiable submitted content to train general-purpose AI models or in advertising without separate express permission.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain processing (including targeted advertising or any "sale"/"sharing" as defined by applicable law), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA/UK may have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us at support@autorepairestimate.ai. We will verify and respond to requests as required by law. If our processing is governed by a Shop's instructions, we will direct your request to that Shop where appropriate.

Business listings. If your request concerns a business listing in our directory, the fastest route is the "Request a correction or removal" link on the listing page, or an email to the address above with the listing URL — see "Correcting or removing a business listing" in Section 2. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, and we do not charge for them or require you to create an account.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International users

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

12. Third-party links

Our Services may link to third-party websites and tools that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
